Frequently Asked Questions

My employees are all over the world.  Can this work for them?
Absolutely.  The LeaderSkills program is designed to deliver face-to-face, group training wherever you are.  Participants watch instructional videos and access the reference guide from our online learning center.  After learning the material, receiving tools to apply the concepts and doing fieldwork for a few weeks, we gather online in a videoconference.
No need to travel.

Are your programs "canned" or live?
Both.  Very active participation is essential to our program's success.  And, we have "flipped" the classroom.  The homework is to watch videos and read the reference guide to learn the material.  Then to use new tools to apply the concepts participants have learned.  After that, we gather in an online videoconference to discuss each participant's progress.  The facilitator also does laser coaching around any areas where people feel challenged.

What are the size of your classes?
Class size is limited to ten participants.  We want to have plenty of time for discussion and contribution that leads to deep learning.

It's just not the same as in-person training is it?
No.  It's not.  And that makes it better in so many ways.  No travel cost or time.  Learn from anywhere at the time of your choosing.  Enjoy connecting with others from your own environment. Or even when you are on the road.

Don't you lose the connection you would have with others because it's distance learning?
It's amazing, but you don't.  To the contrary, people are amazed at how connected they become because they can see and hear each other.  We have had groups bond so deeply that they have continued meeting every two weeks after the course officially ended!  Amazing but true.

How much time should I expect this to take?
Less than you might think.  That's because you apply the tools you learn to real-world situations in your business.  It's time you would spend anyway, but generally with a better result.  The videos are short, usually less than 10 minutes.  Allow for 30 minutes to an hour to watch and read all the material and another one to two hours to do the fieldwork.  Our live group discussion will be 45 minutes to one hour, depending on the number of participants.

Modules are paced at about every two weeks, so expect 2.5-3.5 hours per module.
